About The Company
The Lighting Design Group, the largest television lighting design firm on the East
Coast, is a consortium of designers headed by President Steven Brill. Since 1989,
numerous celebrated television shows, theatrical productions, and corporations world-wide
have turned to The Lighting Design Group for its outstanding lighting designs and
exceptional lighting services. The firm specializes in broadcast studio design,
Exterior and remote location design, the design and installation of permanent broadcast
lighting systems and designs in architectural settings.

The company’s credit list for broadcast studio lighting design ranges from the Late
Show with David Letterman to news studios for NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox and
extends all the way to the NBC coverage of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Outstanding examples of systems design conceived by The Lighting Design Group include
the CNN Time Warner Center, Bloomberg World Headquarters, ABC/Disney Times Square
Studios, Fox Business Studios, MSNBC Studios, NASDAQ Market Site, and the MTV Times
Square Concourse Studios. The Architectural Design department is the newest addition
to the company and since its conception it has added The Home Depots, of New York
City, and Brown Forman, of Louisville, KY, to its list of respectable clients. Other
satisfied clients include Anderson Cooper, Tom Brokaw, Oprah Winfrey, Paula Zahn,
Bob Costas, Montel Williams, Barbara Walters and Elmo.

The company staff includes designers, assistant designers, draftspersons, gaffers,
and production and office support staff. We are experts in all phases of a project
including systems and equipment design development, budgeting, project management,
installation supervision, and on-going design maintenance. Company staff members
maintain membership in multiple unions and trade associations including NABET, IATSE,
and IES. Our firm has won numerous Emmy Awards for both our “Design” and “Team Technical”
work.
